“DEFEND THE OPPRESSED AND FIGHT THE OPPRESSOR BEFORE

THE LAW OR IN THE FIELD”

It is true that not all people have the same strength, and have the same
power, a power to lead and a power to fight. Although not all people have the same
strength, all people have the strength to fight, to fight for their rights. Defending
the oppressed may not always be easy because of people who are more privileged
than them, but we have to choose on what is right.

One example that I can share is the government employee who has a high
position in their office, and the person who is not a level of the government
employee. This government employee has a four wheel car, while this one person
only uses his bicycle to travel. This person who rode his bicycle slightly hitted the
employee’s car, and after this happened the employee pointed a gun at the person
who slightly hitted his car. In this example, we can already see the difference
between having a power, and not. This government employee thinks that he is
more powerful than the person who hitted his car because of the employee’s
position at work. These people are Filipino, having the same citizenship, but why
are there persons who were oppressed? Because of discrimination, because of fear,
thinking of what if the person who is more powerful can do all things against me?
Starting to overthink. As far as I know, all people are equal. EQUAL IN ANY
ASPECTS. Choosing to fight for what is right is one of the characteristics that a
person should have. As a Filipino people, let us help each other, let us help the
weak, let us fight the people who keep putting the others down, not just to show
other people this side of us, or being a hypocrite, but because we know that THIS
IS RIGHT, THIS IS OUR RIGHT!
May this be a reminder for everyone, as also written in Katipunan Code of
Conduct that “A person's worth is not measured by his/her status in life, neither by
the color of the skin, the cultural background and religion of a person. It is found
in his goodness, honour, and pure intentions; in those who do not abuse; nor allow
themselves to be abused.” IT IS ALL ABOUT HAVING A GOOD
CHARACTER IN LIFE because our life is not measured about the status we
have, nor the achievement, it is measured on how we live in this world, and how
we deal with other people.
