    Another option for these patients would be the Biguanides/Metformin (1st line
    treatment for all type II DM).

    Available preparations in the Philippines: 0.5mg, 1mg, 2mg tablet
    Start with 0.5mg TID before each meal. If sugar is still poorly controlled, increase dose
    to 1mg TID before each meal to a maximum of 2mg.
