KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES

Key Accountability  Daily handling of incoming materials.
Areas  Receive and sort incoming packages into chemical and non-chemical.
 Deliver non-chemical packages to the mailroom for further delivery.
 Verify incoming chemicals associated with Safety Data Sheets in CCME SDS
system.
 Enter incoming chemicals into the chemical inventory system.
 Communicate with staff and resolve issues related to incoming materials.
 Deliver incoming chemicals to lab areas.
 Operate forklift to pick up and deliver chemicals and equipment between
buildings.
 Other duties as assigned.
 Escort gas cylinder and dry ice delivery drivers as needed.
 Adding SDS to company database
 Prepare outgoing chemicals for shipment.
 Prepare paperwork for shipments.
 Liaison with shipping companies.
 This position is accountable for daily operation of the Shipping and Receiving
and is expected to bring issues promptly to the attention of the Supply Chain
Manager if they cannot solve them on their own.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge, Experience
and Education
 HS Diploma or bachelor’s degree.
 3-6 years of experience in shipping. Experience shipping in a manufacturing
preferred.
 General knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations governing chemical
shipments and handling.
 Knowledge of the Chemical Inventory System preferred.
 Forklift Operator licensed or ability to be trained within first 3 months.
 Proficient in Microsoft Office.
 Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
 Surfactant experience a plus.

COMPETENCIES
 Ability to read and understand English.
 Attention to detail.
 Willingness to learn CCME systems and procedures.
 Ability to work with multiple departments and personnel at all levels and roles.
 Utilize MSDS sheets to properly assess chemical hazards, spill response procedures, and PPE
