Title of the Activity: PTA Meeting on Quarter 1 Distribution of Report Cards

Meeting Objective/s:

1. To communicate with parents and discuss the learning status of pupils;

2. To discuss measures that can be applied to learning problems encountered by pupils;
and
3. To release/distribute report card for Quarter 1.

Narrative:

To maintain an open communication between parents and teacher and to discuss

matters regarding learning status of pupils, a regular PTA meeting is held quarterly. This is to
be able to keep the harmonious relationship of teacher and parents in order to be effective
guardians of pupils. Meetings such as this is also a way to talk about problems encountered in
school. This way these problems will be able to address right away and be given intervention.
The First Quarter PTA Meeting for this school year was held on December 2, 2022 at
2:45pm which was attended by 36 out of 41 parents.
The meeting started with a warm welcome from the adviser who immediately thanked
the parents for making themselves available on this particular date and time. The adviser first
tackled the reading problems of pupils of which she asked the help of parents for support.
Then she discussed the grading system and the importance of accomplishing home activities
and fulfilling the performance tasks of pupils in order to attain high grades. She also
encouraged parents to support school programs by letting their children participate in activities
such as BSP, GSP, Yes-O, SPG and others.
Other important matters were also discussed such as the upcoming Christmas party of
pupils which made everyone happy and excited. Everyone suggested what to do, what to
wear, gifts to prepare, games to ready on the upcoming event.
After all the topics had been discussed and problems had been cleared and resolved,
report cards were distributed and parents were excited to see the grades of their children.
They were also encouraged to freely ask questions if there were matters unclear to them.
