2. DETERMINE YOUR CORE VALUES. Of the list of values below, check the top 10 that resonate
the most with you. If a value of yours is not listed, write it in. Please do not overthink this step,
as you can always come back and update it as you grow on your journey.
Once you’ve selected 10 values, highlight 3-5 that are most important to you. This does
not mean the other values you’ve identified aren’t important. We are simply building a
solid foundation to start with.

3. DEVELOP A PERSONAL LEADERSHIP PHILOSOPHY (PLP) OR MONTRA. Take your list of 3-5
values and draft a statement encompassing what you value in no more than one or two sentences.
This exercise will help you visualize your priorities and give you something to live by.
4. CONNECT YOUR VALUES TO YOUR GOALS. Look at your values and determine the actions
needed to live them out. This process is where we connect the dots between your values and goals.
