The participants of the review session are the
Participants Description: BSED Science 4 students. With 17 females and 8
males for a total number of 25 participants.

ACTIVITY
Description: The weekly review session for LEPT
conducted is a study and preparation meeting for
education students who will become educators
someday. In the review session, the session lecturer
will help review the aspiring educators for them to be
equipped with knowledge suited for the LET
examination. During the sessions, the participants
will review, practice sample exam especially on their
major ship, and asses their understanding of
important concepts in their major subjects. This
session will help them stay on track with their study
schedule and to make sure they will be mentally and
physically prepared for the exam. Through the
session also, the participants can build their
confidence and competencies for the LEPT.
Objectives:
The review session aims to prepare the
students with knowledge about the different
branches of science relevant to the exam and
acquire techniques useful for taking the exam.

Methodology
The session will start with a short program
starting with a prayer, singing of the Philippine
national anthem, energizer, opening remarks,

lecturer. Then the session lecturer provided all the
participants with a 50 items test on different
branches science while the answers will be written
on a separate sheet of paper. The session will have
a Pre-test and Post-test to test the understanding of
the subject area. Taking of the test will only be
answered within the time frame of 25 minutes. After
the checking of Pre-test, follows the generalization or
the discussion of every item number. Once all items
are discusses and generalized, comes the Post-test.

REFLECTION:

QUESTIONS ANSWER
This is now our last review session
which means that at the end of our
session we will have a mock board exam
to test our learning throughout the whole
review session. Inside the room where we
conducted the session, the atmosphere
and the vibe is very light. During the pre
test of our session, I learned a new
technique to distinguish which is the
correct answer among the given options.
Our session lecturer taught us an easy
way to remember, and that is to base the
answer on the given clue in the question.
For example, one question there asked
about what carries blood away from the
heart, and what she told us to remember
is the letter a and y from the word artery
since it is the answer. She said that if it is
away, the answer is artery, and if it back
to the heart, it is veins. Another learning

the seminar? is to not overthink and overlook further
the question to avoid confusion because
in some questions there are all correct
answers but we have to choose what is
the best among the choices. I also kept in
mind to remember, familiarize, and
understand all the concepts given to
avoid committing mistakes. Just like what
happen to one of the questions given, the
concept was already discusses from the
previous session, but I still got it wrong
because I mistook it with the other
options. Reading and reviewing all the
notes that I have is a must to not forget
the knowledge that has been imparted to
us.
And then the mock board comes,
this is the part now where our
understanding of all the concepts

really have learned. Though the

questions in the mock board were the
cumulated questions from the tests that
we had starting from the beginning of the
review session, I admitted that I am still
not confident with questions involving
problem solving but I also did try my best
to answer such questions. Through the
mock board, I was able to apply all the
techniques I have learned from our
session lecturer. When I was taking the
test, I firstly answered to the test
questionnaire before I transferred and
shaded the letter of my answer in the
scantron paper. I did this to save my time
and also to avoid making mistakes, and
erasures on my scantron paper because
according to our lecturers, the machine
that checks our scantron paper can
detect erasures, and it can maybe affect
our answers and can also affect our
score. In some questions where it
involves sequencing or the options have
long description of answer, I crossed out
some options that I already think is not
correct, with that I was left with a higher
possibility of getting the right answer.
With the techniques that I have learned
from this review session is very helpful for
me in this mock board exam since I was
able to finished the test with still a
remaining time, and I was able to review
all my answers. And thankfully, as we
checked the papers, my score was
actually excellent, and I am proud that
despite of having a doubt that I won’t be
able to pass this, but I was glad that I
actually did pass.

The conducted review session and


especially the mock board exam is very
relevant to us future science educators to
be equipped with knowledge that will help
us pass the licensure exam in the future.
2. How is it relevant to you?
Therefore, these kind of assessment is
crucial for us students and future
educators to gauge our understanding,
identify areas for improvement, and
prepare for the actual board exams. The

conditions, and it helped us build
confidence that we really needed and
refine our knowledge. Mock exams are
relevant to me as they showcase the
diverse ways in which education and
assessments are structured and valued
across various fields.
