ABSTRACT

Schools Division of Abra did not escape from the COVID 19 pandemic and the
recently Magnitude 7.1 earthquake last July 27, 2022 and its effect to education is
unmeasurable. Thus, leadership practices and skills of school heads are important factors in
the successful implementation of such DepEd Thrust and Programs like Basa Abreno, Adal
Abreno, Tarabay Abreno and many more. This basic research determined the level of
leadership practices of elementary school heads in the Division of Abra specifically, in the
implementation of all programs and projects mandated in the organization. The researcher
adopted Leadership Practices questionnaire by Shauna Paul. Weighted mean, person-
product moment of correlation and Anova were used in the data analysis. The findings
revealed that elementary school heads perceived that they always doing great their
leadership practices for better delivery of education especially during this new normal. Their
respective teachers perceived that the school heads are doing well in their leadership levels.
There is no significant difference between the school heads leadership practices as
perceived by themselves and the perception of their teachers. Eighty four (84) school heads
have outstanding performance level and twenty six (26) rated very satisfactory respectively.
There is no significant relationship between leadership practices and the performance level
for school year 2022-2023 of elementary school heads in the Division of Abra.
