Part 1

1. What do you do to keep fit?

Keeping fit and staying healthy are the goals of everyone. For me, I often do a lot of things in order
to achieve these goals. First, I usually do morning exercises every morning. It helps me feel energetic
and makes my body more flexible. Second, I eat variety of food with a view to supplying enough
nutrients to body development. Third, I try to avoid unhealthy such as fast food, soft drinks.

2. Are you good at sport?

Well, I think I’m a big fan of sports. Although I’m not good at it, but I try my best. I prefer personal
sports than team sports because if I do badly in a team game I always feel I’m disappointing
everyone.

3. What sport do you play ?

I’m not at all a keen sportsman but I do play sports to keep fit and stay lean. sometimes play
badminton in the park with my friend for hours every weekend. However, we don’t play often
because of the wind. Instead we jogged around the park.

4. What is the most popular sport in your country?

Well, I guess in Vietnam right now, it’s football. I think football is considered the king of sports. It’s
very easy to play. All you need is just a ball, a few friends and two goals, which you can always make
or create. And I think it’s a competitive sport, it can be very enjoyable to watch and play.

Part 2:

I love to watch sports than participating in it. Whenever I get a chance, I do not miss the events. I
have a chance to see a football match between Hanoi and HoChiMinh city. The match took place at
My dinh stadium last Sunday. It was around 6:00 pm when the match began and there were lots of
fans and supporters of both teams who came there to enjoy the match and to support their
favourite team. It was a very exciting match. At the beginning, both teams played very well and
fairly. The players in each team were very cooperative. But at the end of the match, the atmosphere
in the stadium was very strained when two teams drew 3-3. Finally, Hanoi won the match with a
score of 4 to 3. The tight competition, my support for my team and wish to win the game, the
supporters' shouting, enthusiasm, the lively stadium and cheering made the game a very memorable
for me. In short, it is wonderful for me to recall such an exciting moment

PART 3

Keeping fit

1. What are the best ways to keep fit?

The greatest method to keep in shape, in my opinion, is to engage in 30 minutes of physical activity
most days of the week. If you're pushed for time, divide this up into three 10-minute sessions. Healthy
movement may include walking, sports, dancing, yoga, running or other activities you enjoy.

2. Do you think most people consider exercise a chore or do they find it fun?
Probably a chore, but they do it because they know it’s good for them, they have a goal, they like how
they feel afterwards, they like to challenge themselves, whatever the reasons…Each person will have a
different motivation for exercising and activity preferences.

3. What is the most popular form of exercise in your country?

Walking is the most popular form of exercise in Vietnam. People usually get up early in the morning and
go out for a morning walk. The walk lasts for around an hour and mostly the people walk in the parks
while some of the people walk on the empty streets. But I think parks are the best places for walking in
the morning because there are trees in the parks which provide the fresh oxygen to the morning
walkers.

Healthy lifestyle

1. Do you think people in your country are less healthy than they used to be?

No, I disagree with the point. In terms of their physical and mental health, the majority of Vietnamese
people are strong and healthy. The number of patients is reduced to a great extent and the average
lifespan has also been increased. They are eating healthfully and nutrient-dense foods, exercising as
needed, and taking the necessary breaks. They maintain a healthy lifestyle that makes them happy all
the time.

2. How can we encourage young people to stay healthy?

There are some young people who follow unhealthy lifestyles and finally turn to a victim of different
diseases. They do not know how to lead a happy and healthy life. So, they should be inspired on health
and sanitation issues. If proper awareness raising activities could be adapted to make them sensitized
over the health issues, I think that could result in some positive impacts.

3. Should governments intervene to force people to be healthier?

I think it should not be wise for the government to force people to be healthier. In fact, it varies from
individual to individual whether they want to be healthy or not. It is a private issue and the government
does not have right to intervene on such issue. Rather, the government could take some alternative
measures so that the importance of health is comprehended among the citizens of the country.
