    Q-01: Analyze and design an open single cell reinforced concrete tank.
    The height of the tank is 10ft, the length is 30ft and the width is 20ft.
    Assume the thicknesses of the supporting walls and bottom slab are
    18” and 24” respectively. The density of the soil fill is 100pcf and the
    density of water is equal to 70pcf. The projection beyond the bottom
    slab is 2.5ft. Use f’c =4ksi, fy =60ksi design and detail the tank
    supporting walls and bottom slab?

    Weight of Soil, γs = 100 lbs/ft3
    ka = 0.3
    f’c = 4000 psi
    fy = 60,000 psi
    Wall thickness, t = 18 in.
    Base slab projection beyond wall = 2.5 ft.
    Water pressure at base, p = wa = 70 x 10 = 700 lbs/ft2
