LAC SESSION ON STRATEGIES OF TEACHING IN MATHEMATIS

IN ELEMENTARY LEVEL

1. In line with DepEd Order no. 014, s. 2023, under Teacher Training and
Support, the teachers shall be capacitated on content and pedagogical
knowledge and skill required for the NLC. Following DO. 42, s. 2017, teacher
capacity building shall be guided by the Philippine Professional Standards for
Teachers (PPST). This will be held on August 8,2023 at 10:30 AM, Rm Ilang-
ilang.

2. Two days every week shall be dedicated to fostering collaborative expertise

through LAC and other activities. The LAC sessions shall focus on planning and
reviewing teaching, sharing effective teaching approaches and strategies,
preparing teaching materials, and discussing other teaching related concerns.
The goal is to enhance the teaching and learning process and promote
continuous professional development.

3. The objective of this session is to orient committed teachers on the strategies to

be applied in mathematics for elementary learners in primary and intermediate
level.

o Emerging Reader (Kinder)

o Developing Reader (Grade 1)
o Transitioning Reader (Grade III to Grade V)

4. For widest dissemination and strict compliance.
