We’ve received a recommendation from P&O Cruises to offer you an exciting opportunity to join our
ship’s company. We’re delighted to accept this recommendation and offer you a role in helping us
create unforgettable holiday happiness.

operational reasons.

Carnival UK has also written to you with the criteria you need to meet to work on board their ships.
Please note our offer of employment is also subject to these criteria and those marked with an
asterisk (*) will continue to apply throughout your employment:

Medical Certificate* Receipt of your medical certificate, which must be valid for a
minimum of nine months with no requirement for review or
revalidation due to recent illness or pregnancy.

If you need to organize your medical certificate, please refer to CUK


approved Medical Certificates table attached for details of our
approved doctors.
Please note you will be unable to join us on one of our ships until
we’ve received a copy of your valid medical certificate.

MMR Please provide us with written confirmation of either vaccination or


of immunity against Measles, Mumps and Rubella.

You may have been vaccinated against measles, mumps and


rubella during your childhood; either as individual vaccinations or as
a single injection (MMR vaccination). If you weren’t, or you’re unable
to provide evidence of the vaccination, you may need to have the
vaccination now.

Passport* You need a passport, that’s valid for the duration of your normal tour
of duty, plus a further six months.

Visa (USA)* Receipt of a multiple entry C1D visa.

Seaman’s Discharge You need a valid Seaman’s Discharge Book (one issued by the UK,
Book* Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Falkland Islands,
Gibraltar, Guernsey, Jersey or Isle of Man)

experience while on board our ships. Our codes of conduct, policies and procedures help us to make
the right decisions and keep our people and Guests safe and well. You’ll find copies on board, plus
Carnival UK has sent you the ones that most apply to you and your role. Please take a few minutes to
read them carefully and let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

We’ve also enclosed a copy of your terms and conditions of employment for you to review. It’s
important you understand these and are able to comply with them.

Once you’ve read and understood the details in this letter and the Carnival UK policies and terms and
conditions of employment, please sign and return the declaration on the enclosed duplicate of this
letter and return it to the P&O Onboarding Team.

This offer of employment is open for 14 calendar days, after which it’ll expire without further
notice.

You’ve also been sent the following documents by Carnival UK:

• Uniform Measurement Chart


• Death in Service Form
• Bank Details Form
• PIF
• Bermudan ID Card Application
• Discharge Book Application & Consent Form

Please complete these documents and return them to the P&O Onboarding Team.

They’re designed to be practical for your job role, to present a professional image of the work you do
on board and to reinforce Carnival UK’s position as a leading cruise line.

Once you’ve accepted this offer of employment and have completed and returned all the documents
referred to in this letter, we’ll then confirm the date you’ll join one of our ships.

We want to get you on board as soon as possible, however, if a position isn’t immediately available
there may be a delay in confirming a start date. We recommend you don’t make any firm
commitments (e.g. resignation from your employer if you are currently working) about your future until
we contact you with a start date.

Finally, for easy reference, attached to this email is a checklist of all the items that require your action.
