Basic requirement:

 Native Khmer speaker, who were born and raised in Cambodia before the age of 15 and daily
communication language is Khmer.
 Haven’t participated in any similar audio recording project for NICT since 2019.

 Totally need 300 participants, each participant need to recording for about 15 mins.

But each person can only participate for one recording.

If recording over 1 time, will only paid for one time.

 Participant need to have experience for presentation or business meeting. Participant need to
record in a natural way during the audio recording.

 Participants need to be at the age of 16-60 years old, but no age ratio requirement.

 Gender ratio: between 4 :6 - 6 :4 （for individual participant, please ignore this ratio）

Recording Preparation:

 Recording Tools:

 Download Appen Task to your mobile phone (refer to PDF file, it is recommended to make sure
that the mobile phone has sufficient redundancy before recording to avoid not being able to
save audio due to insufficient space).

 Prefer not to use earphone. If need to use, pleas use wired headphones and do not user
wireless or Bluetooth headsets).

 Recording Environment: Must be quiet and noiseless, avoid including other sounds (such as human
voice, car sound, pet barking...)

 Pre-recording practice: Practice scripts before recording. If you are not skilled or smooth in
recording, you will not be paid. Correct the typos, inappropriate or non-native expressions in the
scripts in advance so that not to affect the recording.

 Network Condition: Make sure the network is stable when submit the audio in Appen Task. And If
failed, please try more times to upload and submit.

Recording Process

 Use both Appen Task for recording by login with the project ID and Pin code Appen will provide.

 Please refer to the script Appen provide for recording. After recording done, save and upload in
Appen Task. The audio could be not completely same as the script we provide, but need to speak in
a natural way and should be have no trace of reading.

 Speaking with moderate speed for about 15 mins. Do not speak too fast, there should be natural
pauses between sentences. And also please don’t speak too slow.

Audio delivery

After the recording done, only need to upload in Appen Task and have no need to provide any audio
separately to Appen. Appen will use the PIN provide to drive the audio from system at backend.
