Microsoft Teams Free Sign-Up Guide

The Microsoft Teams is an application used to connect people online with the following features:

• Dashboard
• Chats
 • Calls
• Video conferencing with screenshare, whiteboard and breakout rooms
• Cloud storage
• Task lists and assignments
• Calendar
• Dedicated teams and channels

The following are steps to create a free Microsoft Teams account

Step 1. Visit https://www.microsoft.com/en/microsoft-teams/group-chat-software

Step 2. Select ‘ Sign up for free ’

Step 3. Enter the email address you regularly use (any email will work. Yes! Gmail, Yahoo. It does
not have to be a Microsoft account i.e., outlook or hotmail )

Step 4: Enter how you’ll be using Teams (Select ‘For work and organization’ from the options
listed)

Step 5: Create account (Starting with entering the email address you regularly use.
Followed by the password you will be using to sign in. Verify email and phone through
a verification code.)
Step 6: Download app in the Google Play store using the link https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.teams

Step 7: Sign in the Teams app using the credentials used to create the account previously
