METHOD STATEMENT FOR MCC/EMCC AND
SB/SBE PANELS DELIVERY AND
POSITIONING
1. Purpose: To define procedure to delivery of MCC/EMCC and SB/SBE Panels Positioning over plinth.
3. Delivery Schedule: MSRA for Delivery of MCC/EMCC and SB/SBE panels (Refer to Appendix-A)
4. Responsibility: The Project manager, WSH Personal, Supervisor & Foreman shall be
responsible for ensuring that all workmen are briefed on the work scope of each individual.
5. Personal Protective Equipment: All workers to equip with appropriate PPE, such are
safety helmet with chin strap, safety boots, reflective vest and safety glove. Where
necessary to use fall arrester.
7. Method of delivery
a. 3-ton forklift and required trolleys/pallet jacks/castor wheels will be made available
at site, prior MCC/EMCC and SB/SBE panels delivery reach to site.
b. Once MCC/EMCC and SB/SBE panels with lorry reaches to site, all the road access
will be closed for short duration.
c. Site Supervisor to ensure the MCC/EMCC and SB/SBE panels unloading and
shifting route are clear and not obstruction.
d. 3-ton Fork lift to be used to off load the MCC/EMCC and SB/SBE panels and shifted
up to ECS control, MCC and EAF rooms main door, where the trollies, heavy duty
wheels and wooden blocks will made available for MCC/EMCC and SB/SBE panels
to position over the plinth.
e. After off load from trailer/lorry first MCC/EMCC and SB/SBE panels will be shifted
over to plinth further to continue with next MCC/EMCC and SB/SBE panels.

a. Ensure the plinth's foundation is sturdy and properly cured to support the MCC/EMCC,
SB/SBE and LMCP panels unit's weight.
b. Clean the plinth's surface of any debris, dirt, or obstacles.
a. Place wooden blocks of appropriate height and size around the plinth's edges to create a
clear path for the MCC/EMCC, SB/SBE and LMCP panels unit.
b. Position heavy-duty rollers or skates at strategic points along the path between the
delivery point and the plinth.

7.4 Placing MCC/EMCC and SB/SBE Panels Unit onto the Plinth
a. Gently maneuver the MCC/EMCC and SB/SBE panels unit using the rollers until it is
aligned with the plinth.
b. Gradually lower the MCC/EMCC and SB/SBE panels unit onto the wooden blocks
placed on the plinth's edges. Ensure that the MCC/EMCC and SB/SBE panels unit is
evenly supported and level.
c. Check the MCC/EMCC and SB/SBE panels unit's levelness using leveling tools and
adjust the wooden blocks as needed to achieve proper alignment.
a. Once the MCC/EMCC and SB/SBE panels unit is securely on the plinth, carefully
remove the rollers or skates from underneath.
b. Double-check the MCC/EMCC and SB/SBE panels unit's alignment and levelness.
c. o) Conduct a visual inspection of the MCC/EMCC and SB/SBE panels unit for any
signs of damage that may have occurred during the installation process.
1) Pre-job Meeting.
2) Safety induction and train personnel for the work activities includingstatutory
requirements (trained, qualified and authorized).
3) To verify PPE issuance.
4) Pre inspection of machinery, equipment and electrical tools
5) Supervisors are to familiarize themselves with KOYO permit to work systemand its
requirement
6) All personnel to attend the in-house training e.g., body harness training, safeuse of ladders
7) Deployment of banks mans to assist operator when moving machinery
8) Workers are to be briefed on risk assessment and have daily toolboxmeeting before work
commences.
1) Banks man to be deployed when delivery lorry is on site to give directions tothe driver in
congested area.
2) Banks man is to keep an eye out for passer-by walking behind the lorrywhen reversing.
3) Deluge to notify KOYO one day in advance of delivery
4) Lorry drivers to observe a speed limit of 15km/hr or less.
5) Trained traffic controller to deployed to control traffic
1) Flat ladders are to be used for light duty activities and only at locations wherescaffolding,
scissor lift / boom lift and any other mode of working platform cannot be used.
Adequate handhold shall be provided to height of 1 m above the place of the landing ofthe
heights runs to be reached by the feet of any person on the ladder.
2) Ladder is to be placed on firm and even ground.
3) No work at height of more than 2m is allowed to be carried out on ladders.
4) Ladders are to be inspected daily to ensure its hinges are in good conditionand there are no
defective parts
5) Flat ladder cannot be used along any open sides of the buildings at all times
6) Top three rungs will be covered up to prevent use of them
7) Maintain 3 points of body contact with the ladder at all times
8) Body harness are to be worn and anchored.
9) “Buddy System” is to be in place when using the ladder where there isanother worker
holding the ladder firm when the other is climbing on it.
10) Supervisors to brief workers on 3 points of contact.
11) Permit to work at heights to be applied with KOYO and approved.
