1. Scope/Objectives
This method statement is to detail & to establish sequence of activities to carryout excavation
& enabling works for TC5 & TC10 tower crane foundation at NW3 & SW3.

3. Access/Egress and Location
Access to the work place will be through designated and exit pathway.
4. Health & Safety
4.1.Contractor will comply with all safety measures as applicable to project safety
requirement.
4.2.PPE will be worn at all times as required.
4.3.Proper and safe access and enough barricades to the work areas shall be installed &
maintained throughout the working period.
4.4.Proper communication should be ensured.

FOUNDATION AT NW3 & SW3.

6.1 Project Engineer:

 Shall be responsible to organize required machinery, material, man power to engineers
/ supervisor & foreman for effectively executing the work in a safe manner.
 To clarify any discrepancies in the work.
6.2. Site Engineer / Foreman:
 To execute the work as per Project Engineers instructions with the right methodology &
in a safe manner.
 Make sure that all the works are completed prior to offering for inspections.
 To execute the works as per approved method statements.
 To attend all the comments made by Consultant at the time of inspection.
 Ensure the workers PPE, sufficient lighting.
6.3. QA / QC Engineer:
 To check the work is carried out as per the approved method statement.
 To ensure all approved materials are being used
 To raise the W.I.R. after co-ordination with Project Engineer.
7 Sequence/Method to be Employed
 The area near the SW3/NW3 will be excavated and it be backfilled with to 45 degree
slope as shown in the attached drawing.
 The temporary support will be given to the existing beam dowels from the soil.
 Then the PCC & Block work will be done as per the approved Method statement TS-
ABM-CIV-MS-0049 & TS-ABM-CIV-MS-0050
 The PC17 will be casted as per the approved Shop drawings & method statement.
 After the completion of the casting the slope area will be backfilled again with the
excavated soil .
 Compaction will be done and the FDT test will be conducted .
 Then the PCC will be done as per the approved Method statement TS-ABM-CIV-MS-
0049 in the backfilled area as shown in the attached drawing.
 The waterproofing will be done as per the approved method statement TS-ABM-CIV-
MS-0069 and it will be lapped with the existing waterproofing membrane.
 Then the tower crane TC5 & TC10 foundation will be casted .
