E. Activity The Learning Action Cell is a quarterly activity of elementary
Description teachers designed in engaging meaningful activities, aimed
primarily on enhancing the teaching-learning process. LAC also
has other functions like discussing school issues and inquiries
that need immediate solution.
F. Objectives This activity aims to:

1. Apply the Modified Marungko and Fuller Methods of


teaching beginning reading.
2. Plan for differentiated instruction.
3. Discuss how writing develops among children.
4. Describe the features of effective writing instruction.
5. Design and implement a writing lesson for your class.

G. Highlights This activity is focused more on the application of the modified


Marungko and Fuller Methods in teaching beginning readers,
application of the differentiated instruction in the teaching
process, discussion on how to develop and improve writing, and
the effective writing instructions, and afterwards application of
the what the teacher-participants have learned during the
conduct of this activity.

5. Audience Participation
Active participation of the teachers
 All the teacher-participants completed the lesson activity.
 Teacher-participants were also engaging in small group by
grade level and discussed methodology and instructions of the
lesson.
 Teacher-participants also plan to conduct another set of
meeting to establish full implementation of the said objectives.

6. Output
All teacher-participants had gained new knowledge and
inputs in teaching phonetics and teaching effective
writing for beginning learners. A short activity was
conducted in the application of what the teachers have
learned during the event. It is evident that all teachers of
Polangi Elementary School conscientiously performed
the task as the order of the day.
