1. INTRODUCTION

The Al-Shaheen field is QATAR’s largest oil field. It is a conventional oil field (of approximately 60 m water depth) situated offshore
the State of Qatar approximately 70 km north-north-east of Ras Laffan. The field overlays the giant pre-Khuff gas field known as
North Field.
Thirty-three platforms, including five production hubs, are installed in Al-Shaheen field. These are spread over nine different areas
across the field - Locations A to I. Crude is exported by tanker via tandem offloading from two FSOs which are permanently
moored in the field to two (of three) SPMs. Gas is gathered in a gas grid pipeline system and exported via North Field Alpha.
The field has been developed through several phases and further development phases are envisaged by COMPANY as operator
of the Al-Shaheen concession.

Figure 1-1: Al-Shaheen Field Layout – Batch 3

To sustain and further increase current production rate with a strategy to achieve a plateau of 300 kbopd, COMPANY has initiated
Gallaf project (Phase 2) to install seven new WHPs, in three batches as detailed below:

1. Batch - 1: New bridge-linked Wellhead platform (24 Slots) including jackets (DC / FC / EG), shall be installed and the new
WHP’s shall be integrated with their respective existing host platforms (DA / FA / ED) facilities.
2. Batch - 2: New bridge-linked Wellhead platform (24 Slots) including jackets (CE / EH) shall be installed and the new WHP’s
shall be integrated with their respective host platforms (CD / EG) facilities.
3. Batch - 3: New WHP’s (JA / KA) shall be remote connected to a new Process Platform (GE), bridge-linked to existing
facilities GD and corresponding brownfield integration of G location facilities (GA / GC / GD). A new subsea connection will
be connected to GE from F location existing facilities.

F-DBN Project is the EPCIC8 Package of Gallaf Batch 3 which consists of the integration of the new 20” subsea LP Wet Gas pipeline
and riser (by EPCI7) tie-in from the new GE (CPP) and brownfield upgrade scope of existing FA and FB facilities at F-Location,
including RO removal at AB Location with the main purpose of debottlenecking F-location gas and liquid exports.

4.1.6. APPENDIX 10 – FULL VACUUM THICKNESS CALCULATION DETAILS

ADD
This is a new appendix showing the wall thickness calculation details under external pressure only for piping material class AD1,
because HP Flare KO Drum is the only equipment designed for FV design condition.

The calculations show that FV verification fails for sizes 18”, 26” and 28”.
However, as per discussion with CPY, vacuum condition is unlikely for FA platform HP Flare system. Therefore, CTR asks to deviate
from requirement of FV for piping material class AD1 sizes 18”, 26” and 28” through a TQ, which is still under drafting (HOLD 2).
