Narrative
On the first day of our immersion, we paid a first visit to the barangay that had been assigned
to us, San Roque Mercedes. The barangay captain was glad to welcome us to their barangay, but
they weren't paying much attention to us because there was an event going on when we met him. We
are still happy that we have gained knowledge in the barangay that we teach. Since our schedule was
created on a Saturday, our team leader spoke with the ward leader on the same day and provided us

The only problem was that because it was our first visit, we were unsure of what to do or where
Insight
It's an opportunity to learn about other people's cultures to travel to new places or explore
places you've never seen before. You get the chance to learn about and respect the customs and
cultures of others, and you gain the flexibility to adjust to the conditions of sharing those people.

During the second week of our immersion, we began instructing the kids. We got to know the
children we would be teaching. I'm delighted to see and speak with them. Ma'am indicated that we
will encounter kids with various traits. They are not in the same grade-level because they are out of
school. There are still small ones and quite large ones that are simple to instruct. To entice kids to
come and learn, we also bought snacks. We gave them reading and writing lessons. We also showed

What I learned that day is how to manage the different characteristics of children.
Issues
Since we haven't previously interacted with them, I believe the issue is that we are not
prepared with the learning resources that we should be teaching them because their grade levels
differ.
Since they were at different grade levels, our intervention was to simply chose to concentrate

Since we have already gotten to know them and are aware of what we need teach them, we
have brought instructional materials for our third immersion week. Of course, we also need to
remember to bring them refreshments. They returned to learn again, so l assume they were satisfied
with our previous instruction. On that particular day, I concentrated on the grade 1 student Kean. He
appreciated that I had taught him again. I taught him to read and write. We also studied addition and
subtraction.
Learning
What I learned that day is that teaching is really fun, especially if the child is willing to learn.

I realized that it feels good to be called ma'am by the child you teach.

The only problem was that Kean was being mischievous, which made me anxious during our

Narrative
Since the case of COVID 19 suddenly increased during our fifth immersion week, the
implementer did not permit us to go on an immersion. They just agreed to provide learning materials
to fill the time we were meant to be teaching. I am pleased with their choice because it is in our best
interests.
Learning
What I learned that week while creating educational materials is that creating it is enjoyable,
especially if you believe that the items you create will benefit children.
Issues
I'm pleased to do those things and there is no problem with me doing them.
Insight
The realization I had at the time was that I would want to decorate my classroom when I
became a teacher, and I would do this by stocking it with attractive and bright teaching aids.

Narrative
I joined a different group on Thursday during my sixth week of immersion since I needed to
shorten the duration of the immersion in order to complete it. and their focus that day was aircraft. I
was selected to describe the helicopter, one of the chosen aircraft. The barangay also encouraged
us to volunteer with them on Saturday, which was right in our schedule. We are assigned to the
Yamang Kalusogan group in the Volunteers Bayani Challenge 2023 event that is taking place there.
They held a seminar where they discussed ways to improve their health by responding to the
questions in the folder. And we are there to assist them with what answers they should put on every
question. Additionally, there are other factors that must be computed, such as BMI. Since we stayed
there till the afternoon, we used up six hours of that time. The good news on that day was that the
barangay got lunch at noon and the snacks were free. As a result of the Boddlefight-themed lunch,

Since it was my first time teaching a class of students who were all at the same level and it
was my first day at the daycare, I discovered that teaching is enjoyable when the environment is
conducive to learning. And secondly, it's enjoyable to volunteer when we work in the barangay
because the adults we teach are appreciative when you answer their queries.

Narrative
On my week seven of immersion, on Thursday I joined another group so I could catch up with
the time when I could fill up. On that day the children's topic was numbers, we taught them to count
and match the numbers where they belong. They also colored pictures that they had to count. And on
Saturday we made the decision to throw a farewell celebration for the kids on the final day of
immersion. We purchased refreshments and game prizes. We engaged in literacy and numeracy-
related games. Addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication are a few of these. They have to solve
mathematical equations as quickly as they can in this game. For kids in lower grades, we also had a
spelling test. We also played a game about “Trip to Jerusalem”, but the older kids weren't allowed to
participate with the younger kids. We also played the game "the boat is sinking," which is similarly
related to numeracy because players must be able to count in order to meet group needs. The kids

Insight
That day, I came to the realization that while it was sad that our immersion experience was
coming to an end, we were yet pleased that we had been able to amuse them on that final day.
