another:
1.) Words
-Some people feel and demonstrate love through words.
Giving compliments and encouragement, saying “I love
you,” and leaving notes of affection and appreciation are
all ways of letting people know how much they mean to
you.
2.) Acts
-Another way to express love is to do something kind or
helpful for another person. By doing a chore or making a
meal for your loved one, you can show them that they are
important to you.
3.) Touch
-Love can be expressed through physical affection.
Holding hands, giving a back rub, embracing, or kissing
are often used to express love and attachment.
4.)Time
-Spending quality time together is also an expression of
love. When a person gives you their undivided attention
or makes time to take a walk or do another activity
together, it means that you are a priority in their life.
5.) Gifts
-Some people express and feel love through gift-giving.
Giving flowers, clothes, a favorite treat, or a handmade
item is one way people demonstrate that they are
thinking about you.

Session At the end of the session, learners will be able to:
Objectives: a) identify the phases of menstrual cycle
Key Concepts: 1. Menstrual cycle is one of the very important processes that
females go through during puberty that usually lasts for an
average of 28 days. It is also considered as a normal process that

be released.
3.) Ovulation Phase (Day 14)
-For a menstrual cycle that usually happens in 28-
days, ovulation usually occurs on day 14. During this
time, a hormone is released by the pituitary gland
that allows the ovary to release the matured egg cell.
The release of the matured ovum to the fallopian tube
is made possible through the structures called
fimbriae. These are finger-like projections which are
found at the end of the fallopian tube near the
ovaries. Since the ovum or mature egg cannot move
by itself, the sweeping movement of the cilia of the
fimbriae dictates its movement.
4.) Luteal Phase (Pre- Menstrual Phase) (Day 15-28)
-This phase starts on the fifteenth day and lasts up to
the end of the cycle. After ovulation, the follicles
develop a structure called the corpus luteum. This is a
yellow structure found in the ovary that produces
small amount of estrogen and large amount of
progesterone. This hormone signals the uterus to
thicken. The walls of the uterus thicken with many
blood vessels to provide nutrients for the coming
baby if in case a sperm fertilizes the egg.

Session At the end of the session, learners will be able to:
Objectives: a) know what ovary is; and
b) identify the main parts of the ovary.
Key Concepts: 1. The ovaries are small, oval-shaped glands located on either side of
your uterus. They produce and store your eggs (also called ovum)
and make hormones that control your menstrual
cycle and pregnancy.
2. During ovulation, one of your ovaries releases an egg. If a sperm
fertilizes this egg, you can become pregnant. Your ovaries continue
to release an egg each menstrual cycle until you reach menopause.
During menopause, your ovaries stop releasing eggs.
