CHAPTER ONE

INTRODUCTION

We students are given the chance to put the ideas and calculations we have learned

in school into practice through internships or on-the-job training. By practicing in genuine

work environments, it also allows us to acquire relevant information and abilities. For us

students, an OJT or internship program provides opportunities to go through the actual

methodologies of a specific job using the real tools, equipments, and documents.

Colleges and universities require their students to undergo such training within a

certain number of hours as part of the curriculum. The workplace effectively transforms

into a growth space where we student trainees can learn more about our chosen field

and put what we have learnt in school into practice. Initial OJT or intern offers additional

labor at a lower cost per hour than a normal employee. As most of them are eager to

gain experience, the likelihood that they will be offered the opportunity to work as

employees in the same organization after graduating is high.

This internship plan is a tool that employers can utilize to find new hires. Since the

trainer or supervisor can monitor the trainees' development, he or she can determine

whether the trainee will make a good hire once his or her internship is through based on

performance, behavior, and attitude. We as students can infuse the company with new

concepts. We might be able to contribute significantly to brainstorming sessions or

research if given the chance to speak openly and without fear. By stretching their

patience, honing their teaching techniques, and increasing their sensitivity to the

requirements and mindset of the younger generation, employers are also training their

staff to mentor the interns. Also, they learn how to share their knowledge and be open to

inquiries during the supervision course. As a result, the internship also serves as a

means of management training for the company's future executives.

WEEKLY JOURNAL

Week 1: August 19, 2022 to August 25, 2022

The assistant of the HR Department conducted a virtual orientation with the intern

students from several schools. She gave a thorough explanation of the business, the

product it sells, and its marketing approach for its product, condotel, as well as how it

attracts customers. Because Citiglobal Realty and Development Inc. deals in real

estate, they sell condos, homes, and lots.

Week 2: August 26, 2022 to September 01, 2022

She began working as an HR Intern this week, and among her tasks and

responsibilities are joining and posting ads to various Facebook group pages,

responding to questions via email and messenger, reviewing applications that

were sent, and inviting candidates to visit the office. She thought that it is

confusing due to hiring an HR intern would take a lot of work. That is difficult,

especially if you are just starting out. Being a social media manager is not an

easy job at all. She needs to create various pages on Facebook to connect with

the applicants, therefore she must be imaginative, prolific, and never run out of

ideas.

Week 3: September 02, 2022 to September 07, 2022

This is her final week as an HR Intern, so she must have patience and be

content with the type of work she is doing. Her tasks include joining and posting

ads to various Facebook pages, responding to messages on messenger and

email, reviewing CVs and resumes that applicants have sent, inviting them to

visit the office, and following up on emails that have received a response.

Finding candidates is difficult, but if you get even one of them, she is happy.

That is one of this OJT's more difficult components. She discovered one method

involves posting eye-catching and interesting job listings in several Facebook

job hiring pages.

CHAPTER 3

SUMMARY, CONCLUSION, AND RECOMMENDATION

Being a student studying business management, the trainee's on-the-job training will

play a crucial role in their future. As a teaching tool, experience is unrivaled. Every pupil

is inspired by this instruction to become who they want to be. This will act as a

steppingstone for them as they continue on their current course. Anyone's ability to

communicate with others and their confidence in speaking their mind were much

improved. Employees' lack of interest and skepticism will make learning challenging if

they can't see how training would benefit their daily tasks. Despite all the challenges, the

trainee was able to gain new knowledge. Wherever they are in life, they will remember

this lesson. It encourages students to pay more attention to their studies and to always

appreciate what they are doing. Continue doing what you love whatever the

circumstances. Keep the inspiration going, and everything will go well. This will help

more about life obstacles, difficulties, success, and contentment. That gave me

tremendous joy to complete a task that I had never completed before. After completing

this training, the feeling of triumph and contentment was quite strange.

To endure all the adversity that comes their way, it requires a lot of patience. To be

successful in this training, you must put up a lot of effort and resolve. Being genuine and

truthful is more important than trying to please someone. Employees begin to participate

in training instead of just receiving it as a gift. Workers can provide quick feedback on

concepts they are having trouble understanding as well as suggestions for how to make

classes and procedures better.

The most important characteristics for becoming a sought-after employer are

committed and reliable employees, thus it should come as no surprise that businesses

and organizations struggle to create motivated and engaged workforces. Yet, a wealth of

research has shown that improved employee commitment and leadership can have a

favorable effect on the bottom line of the business.

12
POLYTECHNIC UNIVERSITY OF THE PHILIPPINES
Maragondon Branch
Maragondon, Cavite

The truth is that an organization can only reach its maximum potential when

every team member and person is totally dedicated to and motivated to work

toward the organization's objectives. So, every business should strive to increase

its employees' willingness to continue their affiliation with the organization.
