ASSIGNEMENT# 1 Process Management

Introduction:
The design includes the process flow of juice factory whole supply chain from Raw Material Ordering, to
Goods Manufacturing, and Goods Distribution.

I have included all the details of each activity handled by each party within the supply chain, and I dive
more micro in the activities of each department of the juice factory.

NOTE:

For the sake of better process flow design, I have merged both assignment steps in the process flow
design (page# 3).

Application used:
Lucidchart

Process Flow Diagram (Please Check 3rd page):

Conclusion:
Process flow diagram is always more preferable than text description as it provide the ability of the
following:
1- Clarity and understanding: Process flow diagrams provide a clear and easily understandable
representation of the processes.
2- Efficiency: By mapping out a process, we can identify bottlenecks, redundancies, and areas
where work can be streamlined.
3- Standardization: Process flow design promotes standardization. When everyone understands
the established process, it's easier to ensure that it's consistently followed, reducing errors and
variations in outputs
4- Problem Identification: Process flows can help in the early identification of issues or potential
problems in a process. This allows for proactive problem-solving and prevents costly mistakes.
5- Training Tool: It's a valuable tool for training new employees. They can quickly grasp how a
process works, which reduces the learning curve

Moreover, Swimlanes are very critical as it distribute the responsibilities between each of the
parties/departments within process flow diagram.

Swimlanes define the responsibilities per each party and provide a better understanding of what the
other parties expect from each other’s.
