Record Notes of WRM of SG package held on 07 Feb 24 with M/s LMB

LMB has presented the status and plan of different systems on which progress discussion is carried
out. LMB informed they have Erected 343 MT out of Targeted 3114 MT for the month in Unit-I &
84MT out of Targeted 1270 MT in the Unit-II.

The following decisions are made in the meeting.

1. The Balance Work shall be carried out to facilitates the achievement of the BLU milestone by
or prior to 22 February 2024.
2. The completion dates of some activities are shifted from that mentioned in the last WRM. All
necessary action should be taken to not to repeat this trend.
3. Manpower particularly in Unit-II should be increased to meet the upcoming milestones as
scheduled.
4. The monthly erection targets in Unit-I & II are being missed in most of the previous months.
Execution should be strengthened with required Manpower and T&Ps so that targets are
achieved.
5. THDC/NTPC asked LMB to submit Dozing skid piping program & MS Line hydro test details.
6. THDC/NTPC expressed concern regarding the progress of ESP – 02 passes completion, the
progress suffering due to insufficient deployment of manpower. THDC has provided welders
still the progress is not up to date. As the pass-B 6 fields is still not offered for inspection of
Electrode alignment. THDC instructed LMB shall complete all works including electrode
alignment in both A & B passes before BLU.
7. LMB informed In Chimney-I balance Borosilicate lining 1800 sq meters will be completed by
21 Feb at average speed of 125 Sq meters every day. THDC/NTPC asked LMB to complete the
works by 18-Feb-24.
8. LMB agreed to install permanent lighting at Boiler after THDC/NTPC insisted lack of lighting
in boiler area.
9. Cable laying to ID fan will be started in 02 days after that second stage oil flushing to start by
14-Feb-24.
10. In Ducting, balance 3.5 KM of welding will be completed by 10-Feb-24.
11. BAH refractory pin welding started, LMB shall arrange compressor for refractory work as
presently planned manual working would take more time.
12. Transformers to be supplied to other packages of THDC, LMB shall give schedule for
commissioning of transformers for which front is handed over to LMB.
13. Cumulative progress of Insulation is in very bad state, LMB conditions of weather affected
the works. THDC/NTPC asked LMB to complete at least 7000 sq meters of Insulations by next
week.
14. LMB to take up Fire trenches in SOS manner at LHS of Boiler to handover front for
Firefighting line including that of ST-8 &at various floors to boiler.
15. LMB assured to expedite BA slurry sleepers progress & precast covers for trenches.
16. LMB assured to complete Misc Transformer foundations by 10-Feb-24.
