Tabo as Public Servant

iisa lamang.

Allegory of The Cave as Evolution of Self

Plato's Allegory of the Cave portrays a theoretical circumstance wherein culture's

traditional norms confine humanity's knowledge. It includes mankind's quest for knowledge and
also person's desire to understand that knowledge with someone in order to free them through
ignorance.

According on Plato's allegory of the cave, there are people who have lived here since
birth, and their ankles and necks are tied, limiting them from moving. Depression is an issue that
several people encounter in life, especially in this situation where it all begins. There was a
possibility that the humans who have been trying to live in this cave for so long were also
experiencing this. In many aspects, The Cave reflects the public health crisis we experienced in
2019 that we've all been terrified about, and until this time, we've been locked up at home. Also,
Plato's Allegory of the Cave shows the educational and learning process, with the cave
portraying childhood knowledge and experience spend in the educational process, and the
scenery reflecting the rest of life, where everyone must learn to understand things properly
through experience. We actually experience this situation because we have an educational mode
of learning called online class that reflecting on how we learn of our own. Education is important
and relevant because it improves our knowledge, which in turn opens our thoughts to other
perspectives, ideas, beliefs, and civilizations. Learning is very important, especially now that
there is a crisis. Even though we have been unable to enter the school, the important thing is that
we keep learning.

Looking Glass Self as Product of Interpersonal Interactions

The process through which people form their sense of self based on how they feel others
perceive them is known as the looking-glass self. People utilize social connection as a kind of
"mirror," that reflect of person's losing self confidence by judging their own worth, values, and
behavior based on the evaluations they receive from others. Losing a self confidence is a
example of looking glass self because it can "mirror," or reflect your own personality that having
an insecurities of self and they scared of being judge of others so they're going to have to do it
themselves. Also,

Cooley's thesis is noteworthy, according to Self, Symbols, and Society, because it

proposes that self-concept is formed in social contexts rather than in solitude. In this approach,
society and people are two complementary parts of the same reality, rather than two distinct
entities.

I and Me as Object and Subject

The components of the self, as according to James, is divided into two sides or character
"Me" and "I." The "Me" is a separate personality to whom a person refers while discussing their
individual experiences. The material self is primarily made up of a person's possessions, such as
his or her body, family, clothing, and money.

The study of the cognitive, or affective representation of one's identity, or the subject of
experience, is known as self psychology. The contrast between the self as I, the subjective
knower, and the self as Me, the known object, was the earliest statement of the self in modern
psychology.

Understanding of who they are and what makes them unique. This can include the
physical self, the social self, the competent self and the inner, or psychological, self. Meanwhile,
a person's self-understanding is about knowing what motivates his or her actions.

Embodied Self

Maurice Merleau-Ponty believed the physical body to be an important part of what makes
up the subjective self. The physical body is part of our self. The perceptions of the mind and the
actions of our body are interconnected. The body isn't a prison house of self, it is the subject that
embodies self. According to Merleau-Ponty, there is no hard separation between bodily conduct
and intelligent conduct rather, there is a unity of behavior that expresses the intentionality and
hence the meaning of this conduct. In habits, the body adapts to the intended meaning, thus
giving itself a form of embodied consciousness.

Embodied Self is our true nature. In a state of embodied Self, we can take in, moment by
moment, all that we experience in life, staying present to every sensation. Our brains or other
organs that we have is communicate and collaborate with each other in an uninhibited complex
dance. This study is reflecting on how we understand ourselves or our body as one.

Understanding our self is important because that is the only one you can understand how
you feel or being self-aware can help you to plan development and make decisions that are right
for you. It's important to know what you want from your needs or want, what gives you
fulfilment and the type of environments or work cultures you will thrive in
