Prepositions

1) Prepositions of Place:

Prepositions of place are words that show the relationship between an object and its position in space.
The most common prepositions of place are: in, on, at, under, above, below, next to, beside, behind, in
front of, between, among.

Use "in" for enclosed spaces: ‫"ف" لألماكن المغلقة‬

Use "on" for surfaces: ‫استخدم "عىل" لألسطح‬

Use "at" for specific points: ‫استخدم "عند" للنقاط المحددة‬

Use "under" to indicate something is beneath: ‫شء يحت األشياء األخرى‬

Use "above" to indicate something is higher: ‫شء يعلو األشياء األخرى‬
‫استخدم "فوق" للداللة عىل ي‬
Use "below" to indicate something is lower: ‫شء يحت األشياء األخرى‬

Use "next to" or "beside" to indicate something is close by: ‫شء قريب‬

Use "behind" to indicate something is at the back: ‫شء يف الخلف‬

Use "in front of" to indicate something is at the front: ‫شء يف األمام‬

Use "between" or "among" to indicate something is in the middle: ‫شء‬
‫استخدم "بي" أو "فيما بي" للداللة عىل ي‬

2) Prepositions of Time:

Use "at" for specific times: ‫"ف" لألوقات المحددة‬

Examples: at 3o'clock, at noon, at sunset

‫ عند غروب الشمس‬،‫ يف الظهر‬،‫ يف الساعة الثالثة‬:‫مثال‬


Use "on" for days or dates: ‫"ف" لأليام أو التواري خ‬

Examples: on Monday, on June 15th, on New Year's Day

‫استخدم "ف" لألشهر أو السنوات أو الفصول أو ر‬


Use "in" for months, years, seasons, or periods of time: ‫فتات الوقت‬ ‫ي‬
Examples: in July, in 2022, in winter, in the morning

Use "since" to indicate when a period of time began: ‫فتة من الوقت‬

Example: I have been studying Arabic since last year.

Use "for" to indicate the duration of a period of time: ‫فتة من الوقت‬

Example: I have been studying Arabic for six months.

‫ أنا أدرس العربية لمدة ستة أشهر‬:‫مثال‬.

‫"حت" للداللة عىل نهاية ر‬


Use "until" or "till" to indicate the end of a period of time: ‫فتة من الوقت‬ ‫استخدم ر‬

Example: I will be studying Arabic until I finish the course.

Use "by" to indicate a deadline or the latest possible time for something to happen: "‫استخدم "بحلول‬

Example: I need to finish the project by Friday.
