1. The purpose of this SOP is to outline housekeeping services. A clean workstation free of debris and clutter is
critical to maintaining a safe work environment. Housekeeping is a continual effort.
2. The proper management of routine tasks should be maintained at all times. Poor housekeeping affects all aspects
of safety and can result in both minor and major incidents

1. If you fully understand what an SOP is, try to make a sample SOP in cleaning the classroom
Based on the discussion and activities done, what are the standard operating and/or other workplace procedure? How
does it affect the household service?

1. Position the step ladder under the light fixture to be cleaned. Be sure the step ladder is sturdy and in proper repair.
2. Remove dust and dirt from vanes of Venetian blinds where bacteria can multiply.
3. Vacuum entire exposed surface from top to bottom using a left to right motion as you clean.
4. Dust furniture with a clean cloth treated with dust mop/dust cloth treatment polish as needed
5. Let waste accumulate at or around the work place.
