My name is Madison Ruesch and I am writing to be considered as a teacher candidate in

your district. I am a Dakota State University graduate, majoring in Elementary Education. I
am also minoring in PreK-12 Reading and K-12 Educational Technology, and I have
completed my certification for a Coaching Endorsement. I completed my student teaching
experience at Okoboji Middle School and have proved my readiness to be a teacher. I am
excited and ready to begin my teaching career.

The experiences, skills, and strategies I have learned throughout my time here at DSU
have prepared me to be an exceptional teacher for your district. DSU provides their
students with plenty of opportunities for hands-on classroom exposure. Having this
background experience has provided me with the skills and knowledge that I need to be
comfortable and successful within a classroom setting. I excel in using technological skills
that have been proven to enhance student learning. I have been given plenty of
opportunities to practice planning lessons and see how those lessons work within a
classroom. Additionally, I have been able to collaborate with numerous teachers from
various grade levels to learn more about their teaching styles and strategies. After having
these experiences and learning about skills, strategies, and teaching styles I feel more
prepared and confident that I will be an effective and successful teacher.
