A. Lesson Title: Literature as a Means of Connecting to the World
B. References: Grade 9 book, and English Quarter 3, Week.5 - Module 2
C. Materials: Powerpoint Presentation, Laptop, TV, Book, Pen and Paper

B. Activity Proper
Teacher will present pictures in front and the students will have to guess the themes and their
reflections though the images shown.

C. Abstraction
The teacher will first introduce the learning outcomes. Then teacher will start the discussion with
preparatory activity. After that the teacher will introduce the literature as a means of connecting to
the world. Then, the teacher will divide the students into 3 groups and they will have to research
about how literature serves as a means of connecting to the world, they will present it in front. After
that, the teacher will expound the ideas and informations and will ask the students if they have any
questions or clarifications about the topic. Then, in application the teacher prepared drills for the
students to answer and to check if the students understood the lesson. And in assessment and
evaluation the teacher prepared an activity and will let the students .

D. Analysis
The teacher will give further insights and will discuss the introduction of the lesson.

Activity 1.
Explain how literature reflects to the cultural perspectives, values, and traditions of different societies

With your group, illustrate things that give connections between the literary work and real-world
examples. Provide a 2 sentences explanation. (15pts)

G. Assignment
“Don’t judge the book by it’s cover” expound the idea in not less than 4 sentences.
