Mirrors
Worksheets
Short quiz
I. Preparatory Activities:
A. Daily Routine
Prayer
Greetings
Checking of Attendance
B. Review of the Previous Lesson
The teacher will briefly review the previous lesson on the different forms of energy.
C. Motivation
The teacher will ask the students what they know about light and sound.

II. Lesson Proper:

Introduction
The teacher will ask the students the following questions:
What is light?
Where does light come from?
What is sound?
Where does sound come from?
Concept Development
The teacher will give a lecture on the following concepts:
Sources of light
Reflection and refraction of light
Properties of light (e.g. speed, intensity, direction)
Sources of sound
Vibration and pitch of sound
Properties of sound (e.g. loudness, frequency)
Demonstration
The teacher will demonstrate the reflection and refraction of light using a flashlight and a mirror.
Group Activity
The students will be divided into groups and each group will be given a flashlight and a mirror. They
will use these materials to demonstrate the reflection and refraction of light.
Discussion
The students will discuss their observations and learnings with their groupmates.
Generalization
The teacher will summarize the key concepts discussed in the lesson.
III. Application:
A. Individual Activity
The students will answer a worksheet with questions related to the properties and characteristics
of light and sound.
B. Group Activity
The students will discuss their answers with their groupmates and come up with a group answer.
C. Sharing of Outputs
The groups will share their answers with the class.
IV. Evaluation:
The teacher will give a short quiz to assess the students' understanding of the concepts discussed in the
lesson.
V. Assignment:
The students will be asked to write a short paragraph about how the properties and characteristics of
light and sound affect their daily lives.

VI. Integration:
The teacher will integrate the concepts discussed in the lesson to other subject areas, such as:
English: Writing a short paragraph about light or sound
Math: Measuring the speed of light or the frequency of sound waves
Araling Panlipunan: Studying the history of light or sound technology
