The teacher will group the students into three. (Students with poor eyesight,
etc., will be grouped accordingly. Students with special needs will be assisted
by his/her classmate. Each group who answer the teacher’s questions correctly
will receive a golden coin which equals to 1 point. At the end of the lesson, the
group with the highest number of golden points will receive additional reward.

NAIL PLATE- it is the visible nail that rests on the nail bed up to the free
edge. This is made up of dead cells and a minimum amount of
moisture.
NAIL BED – The part of the nail where the nail plate rests on, also a
continuation of the matrix and it is abundantly supplied with blood
vessels and nerves.
CUTICLE- The overlapping epidermis around the nail. It is the
transparent skin, which is called the true cuticle and which is also
removed during the manicuring process.

NAIL MANTLE- The layer of epidermis at the base of the nail, before
the cuticle. The function of the nail mantle is to protect the matrix from
physical damage.
The teacher will check the groups outputs and let the students watch the video
about the structure of nails.
