A. Preliminary Activities
1. Drill
Let’s have a game. Let’s divide the class into three groups. I will show sets of objects.
You will give the corresponding number of each given set. Write the exact number on
the board provided for each group. The first group to give the correct number will have
the point. The group with the highest score will be the winner.

6 4 9 3 4
*Valuing
Why do you think their group won in our game?
(They won because they were so attentive and they listened well.)
2. Review
Let us check if you have mastered your previous lesson.

Tree Planting is Fun!

It was a fine Saturday morning. Reign and Brent told their mother what they
learned in school. "Mother, we learned that we should take care our environment”,
said Brent. “Yes Mother! And we should also support and join in activities that would
maintain the beauty and cleanliness of our environment.” Reign added. Mother was so
happy to hear that from her children. Then, mother allowed Reign and Brent to come
with her and joined the Tree Planting Activity. They hurried and got ready.

The two kids were happy and excited as they arrived in the place. They soon
started to plant trees. Reign planted two trees. Brent planted three trees. They felt so
happy and satisfied because they were able to help save our environment.
