RA 9262 is the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004, which aims to protect women
and their children from all forms of violence and abuse in their homes and communities. The law criminalizes acts of
physical, sexual, and psychological violence against women and their children, and provides for protective measures
and support services for victims. It also mandates law enforcement agencies to prioritize cases of violence against
women and their children and ensure that perpetrators are held accountable for their actions. Through the Republic
Act 9262, it emphasizes the importance of an equal rights distribution extending to women and children. This law
somehow helps with the battle against Sexual devide. Through this it also encourages women and children to
develop self awareness particularly to what they are capable of contributing to their community.
