Your trip doesn’t have to be stressful. You can
be really organised and then relax and enjoy
the experience.
First of all, make a checklist of all the things
you need to do before you go. This will help
you remember things.
Make travel and accommodation

your flight and the hotel room in advance. You
should also check if there are any religious
and local holidays because businesses and
restaurants could be closed.
Organise an itinerary and share it with a family
member, a friend or a co-worker. Include flight
information, local travel details, the name and
telephone number of the hotel where you'll be
staying, and meeting times and places. They
can then contact you if necessary.
Check that your documents are in order. You
shouldn’t travel with a passport that is about
to expire. Double-check the expiry date and
renew it if necessary.
Find out if you need a visa to visit the country
you are travelling to.
Don’t travel without some change in the local
currency. You'll need it to pay for taxis or
tickets on public transport.
Don’t take too much cash with you. Take a
credit card instead.

Shepherd’s Pie

Ingredients
1 kg potatoes
1 kg minced beef
2 tbs butter
a pinch salt

Instructions
1 Wash, peel and cut up the potatoes. Put a large pot with 4 ℓ of water to boil. Add the potatoes
and a pinch of salt to the water and boil until soft.
2 Chop the onions and garlic. Put aside in a bowl.
3 Peel and chop the carrot into small cubes.
4 Heat the oven to 280°C.
5 Heat a large frying pan. Add the oil. Sauté the chopped onion and garlic for 2 minutes. Add minced
beef, carrots and peas and stir well. Cook until the beef is brown. Add salt and pepper to taste.
6 Drain the potatoes. Add butter and a pinch of salt. Mash the potatoes until smooth.
7 In a casserole dish, spread a thin layer of mashed potatoes. Layer the meat on top and finalise
with a layer of mashed potatoes on top of the meat.
