VOLUNTEER TEACHER

The pandemic has created a tremendous effect on the learning of our pupils. The absence of in
person teaching hampered the learning of pupils especially among primary pupils who constantly needs
practice in reading. Modular learning and consistent monitoring and guiding them through online
platforms is not sufficient.

With these reasons, I wholeheartedly render my time, effort, and my spare time as a REMEDIAL
TEACHER in enhancing reading and numeracy skills of the target learners through a day-to-day tutorial
session for 6 hours in a face-to-face basis via learning hub which started at September 6, 2021 and
lasted until October 21, 2021.

I tutored learners on my section and made sure that their reading ability will progress at the end
of the program. The remediation was continued even after the Brigada Pagbasa Program to guarantee
that they will emerge as readers at the end of the school year. I utilized colorful printed materials in my
remediation to catch the interest of the recepients during remedial session. I also take time to visit them
at home to read following the safety health protocols. I have agreement with the parents that after our
session, the child will read using the read a long videos that I sent. That way, the children will learn to
read even by themselves.
