Play a game called “Pass Word” (pass the message). To play this game, group
them into three.

Who can recall about out lesson yesterday?
(It’s all about noun)

4. Motivation
Hold an object in your left and right hand. Then, ask the following:
 What have you observed in my left hand?
 What have you observed in my right hand?
5. Unlocking of Difficulties
Terms to understand:
 Noun – is a word that names a person, place, or thing.
 Singular noun - refer to only one noun.
 Plural noun – refer to two or more noun.

1. Presentation
Today, you will learn how to identify and write singular and plural nouns and you
will follow rules on forming the plural nouns.

2. Discussion of the Lesson

Activity 1
Read a passage.
What are those things that you have seen in the passage? Let them pick the
words and paste it on the board.

Activity 2 (Group)
Based from the passages that you have read. Look 5 nouns. Write them on
their singular or plural forms in Manila paper.

Activity 3 (Individual)
Present the words and pictures. Let the pupils write the correct plural form
for the given pictures. Example: a picture of flowers – flowers

What is the difference between singular and plural noun?
How did you get the correct answer?

C. Abstraction
Discuss the rules to follow in forming plural form of regular nouns

D. Application
Give the plural form of the nouns on the caterpillar. Write you answer on
the space provided.
