An adjective has three degrees of comparison, namely: positive
degree, comparative degree, and superlative degree.
Positive degree- simply describes persons or things.
- Example: The Bible is thick.
Comparative degree- compares two persons or things.
- Add -er for one-syllable adjectives.
- Example: The bettlenut A is taller than bettlenut B.
Your dog runs faster than my dog.
Superlative Degree- Compares three or more persons or
things.
