As stipulated in the DepEd Order No. 35, s. 2016 titled The “Learning Action Cell (LAC) as a K to 12
Basic Education Program School-Based Continuing Professional Development Strategy for the Improvement of
Teaching and Learning,” Horacio Dela Costa High School is conducting training workshop and teachers are
encourage to undergo trainings and seminars to solve shared challenges encountered in the school,”

On Day 1, the School-based Learning Action Cell Session started with a prayer led by Ms. Kerima De
Mesa followed by opening remarks by Ms. Jeanny Rose Sabido. For the opening remarks, Ms. Sabido

Ms. Mary Ann Doctor began the topic with the session objectives and the presentation outline before
introducing the topic, "Assessing and Evaluating Student's Learning Outcomes using the SOLO Framework."
Based on the department, Ms. Doctor split the participants into three groups. She then introduced the
activities, participants analyzed and identify the levels of SOLO Taxonomy regarding students' responses using
five levels of increasing complexity.Each group shared thoughts and ideas on how to utilize HOTS Questions
effectively. Ms. Doctor discussed SOLO in Assessment
