Trigonometric Equations

• An equation that contains trigonometric functions is called

a trigonometric equation.
• Ex.
• 1. 𝟐 sin 𝜽 = −𝟏
• 2. 𝟏 + tan2 𝑥 = sec 2 𝑥
• 3. cos 𝒙 = 𝟑
Solving Trigonometric Equations
• Ex. Find all the solutions to the equation 𝟐 𝐬𝐢𝐧 𝒙 − 𝟏 = 𝟎.
• Sol.
