think best represents your religious encounter, and write a short reflection about it.

A gift/present that best represents my religious encounter this Sunday is a jacket.

A jacket gives us comfort, and just like a jacket, the Sunday experience has given me

comfort as well. This Sunday, we went to Philippine Military Academy to attend the

Christmas party of my father and his workmates. Before attending the party, a mass

was held. The gospel for this Sunday is Matthew 11:2-22 and we hear about John the

Baptist, who sends his followers to find out if Jesus is indeed the Messiah. After

giving them a response to reassure John, Jesus supports John in front of the crowd. He

then carries out the prophecy made regarding the one who would prepare the people

for the Messiah. And with this being said, just like Jesus who reassured John, a jacket

also reassures and comforts me whenever I feel cold and uncomfortable, thus I chose

this present to describe my experience.
