ACTIVITY REQUEST
IV. Rationale:
The Sports Intramural program is one of the most awaited activities by the
students, teachers and school stakeholders as well. This can be an opportunity for the students
to show their talents and skills in sports and games. Indefinite benefits are gained through this
activity.
LEGAL BASIS
Article XIV Section 19 of the 1987 Philippine Constitution
(1) The State shall promote physical education and encourage sports programs, league
competitions, and amateur sports, including training for international competitions, to foster
self-discipline, teamwork, and excellence for the development of a healthy and alert
citizenry;
(2) All educational institutions shall undertake regular sports activities throughout the country in
cooperation with athletic clubs and other sectors.
V. Objective/s:
To in still in the hearts and minds of the students the significance of sports into one’s mental,
physical, social, emotional and spiritual well-being in which the sports contribute to the totality of
a person;
To create awareness among students, school personnel and stakeholders that sports
participation results impact to the values inculcated to participants;
To develop camaraderie, respect and spirit of sportsmanship
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
1. To promote sports development;
2. To encourage sense of responsibility, cooperation and unity;
3. To enhance spirit of sportsmanship, friendship, respect and honesty.

I. BACKGROUND
The word intramural comes from the Latin words ‘intra’, meaning “within”, and ‘moralis’ which
means “wall”. It implies to tournaments or special events that are limited to participants and teams from
a specific defined community like the school.

VIII. GUIDELINES
1. Participants must be a bona fide student of CWNHS for SY 2022-2023
2. Participants must submit the requirements before the duration of the game. Non-compliant
will be a ground for disqualification for the participant/ team.
3. Participants must abide the rules and procedures for the tournament.
4. Class advisers are required to observe the game procedures for volleyball and basketball.
5. All game practices must be done inside the school premises. The school shall not be held
liable to untoward incidents in case of game practices done outside the school.
