Lesson plan in Physical Education Grade 12

I. Objectives

At the end of this lesson, the learners should be able to:

 To define the definition of recreation


 To perform the recreational activities
 To realize the needs that can met through taking part in recreation programs.

III. Procedures

A. Preparatory Activities
1. Drill
 Prayer
2. Review: Activity: “ONE MINUTE TO SAY IT”
 Name atleast two types of aerobic exercise
 Explain briefly how important the aerobic exercise
3. Motivation: Activity: “PAINT ME A PICTURE” (10 mins.)
 The teacher will name the different recreational activities and they will act and present it in
a count of 10.
B. Developmental Activities
1. Presentation
a. Setting of Standards

today)
The teacher will present the topic for the day and post the objectives that are going to attained.
 To define the definition of recreation
 To perform the recreational activities
 To realize the needs that can met through taking part in recreation programmes
2. Activity: “Role play” (10 min.)
With the same group, Students will be given different recreational activities and they will roleplay
the needs and difficulties encountered in their assigned recreation activities.
3. Analysis:
1. What is recreation?
2. How will you differentiate inddor from outdoor activities?
3. What is the relevance of recreational activities in making our body physically fit?
4. What are the fitness components of recreational activities?
5. How does active participation in recreational activities contribute to our physical fitness?
4. Abstraction
Using a “graffiti wall”, the students must summarize all the concepts that they have learned on this
lesson.
5. Application
In ¼ size of paper, the students must answer the quiz ( 1 to 15 items ).
C. Concluding Activities
1.Generalization
 The teacher will select a student to summarize the topic and explain why it is important in
real life.

2. Application

 The students will be required to do a recreational activity at home along with a reflection
paper on their experiences with a documentary.
3. Valuing
 The students must write in a ½ size of paper the importance of recreational activity in
our health.

IV. Evaluation

Give three benefits which can be derived from indoor and outdoor recreational activities.

V. Assignment

List at least ten leisure activities in which you are interested, as well as the benefits of your selected
activity and why you choose them, on a whole sheet of paper.
