1. Prayer
Everyone, please stand and let us
pray. Miss ___________, please
lead the prayer.
(prayer)
2. Greetings
Good morning class!
Good morning Ma’am!
Please take your seats.

How are you today? Thank you!

Glad to hear that. Great ma’am

For now, I’m going to check the

attendance in this class. Those
who are not in their seats
respective seats will be marked
absent.

3. Attendance
Attendance for each table
please write it down in a ¼ sheet
of paper.
(students’ start writing their name)

4. Agreement
Class, before we start a new
lesson for today’s discussion.
First, we will have an upon
agreement in order for today’s
discussion will set sail smoothly.
Likewise, to maintain an
organized and respectful learning
environment. Are you all okay
with that? Yes, ma’am!

I want you to keep all your

things that are not needed to our
discussion. Sit properly and do
not talk with your seatmates.
Observed silence at all times.

What will you do if somebody

is talking here in front? Listen attentively ma’am in order we can learn
something.
Very Good!
What will you do if you want to
answer to my questions?
We will raise our right hand ma’am.
Awesome! Bear in mind that do
not answer in chorus.
Understand?
Yes, ma’am.
What about if we have group
activities?
Participate actively ma’am.

Very Good!
So, do we have an agreement
Yes ma’am.
now?

Class, it is important to remember that

these rules and regulations are in place to
create a positive and effective learning
environment. All of you are obliged to
follow the said rules.

Are we clear?
Yes ma’am.

A. ELICIT
Strategy: “ Question Analysis”

“ACTIVITY 1: WHEEL OF QUESTION!”

DIRECTIONS: The teacher has a two set of
wheels. The one wheel consisting of
questions while the other wheel is a set of
names of the students. As the teacher spin
the wheel of question s/he will also spin
the other to identify who will answer the
question.
1. What do you called of the pulverized
rocks, sand, gritty and harsh glasses shoot
out in the air by volcano. Ash fall

2. Give me atleast 1 example of

environment volcanic effect. Ashfall generates the risk of food and water
contamination.
3. It is the ability of a substance ejected by
the volcano to resist flowing. Viscosity

4. What do you called a mixture of water,

molten rocks and debris flowing down
from the side of volcano to the ground. It is
also called as lahar. Mud flow

5. Give atleast 3 examples of health

problems cause by volcanic eruptions.

First, we will be having an activity

regarding to our topic today entitled

“ACTIVITY 2: JIGSAW PUZZLE!”

DIRECTIONS: The class will be divided into
2 groups. Each groups will be given a cut-
out pictures together with the name of the
topic. They will then arrange the cut-out
pictures to form a picture an a word. The
first group to finish the given task will be
the winner.

geothermal power plant and arrange the
steps on how to generate electricity.
Group 4: Describe the Geothermal Heat
Pump and arrange the steps on how it
works.
1. Cooling tower cools the steam and
condenses it back to water.
2. The steam spins a turbine, which is
connected to a generator that produces
electricity.
3. The cooled water is pumped back into the
earth to begin the process again.
4. Wells are drilled deep into the earth to
pump steam or hot water to the surface.
5. When the water reaches the surface, the
drop in pressure causes the water to turn
into steam.

1. Once it gets back above ground, the

warmed water or refrigerant transfers
heat into the building.
2. The water or refrigerant cools down
after its heat is tranferred. It is pumped
back underground, where it heats up
once more, starting the process again.
3. When the weather is cold, the water or
refrigerant heats up as it travels
through the part of the loop that’s
buried underground.
4. On a hot day, the system can run in
reverse. The water or refrigerant cools
the building and then is pumped
underground, where extra heat is
transferred to the ground around the
pipes
5. Water or a refrigerant moves through a
loop of pipes.

Dry Steam (Geyser) Plants – the steam is directly

piped to the power plant from underground wells,

The steam eliminates the need to burn fossil fuels
to run the turbine ( also removing the need to
transport and store fuels).

Flash Steam Power Plants - takes high-pressure

hot water from deep inside the earth and convert
it to steam to drive generator turbines. When the

It uses the heat coming from close to the earth’s
surface to heat water or provide heat for
buildings. Power plants are built in an area where
it is particularly hot just below the surface or near
group of geysers, hot springs, volcanic activity.

STEPS ON HOW GEOTHERMAL HEAT PUMP

WORKS:
1. Water or a refrigerant moves through a
loop of pipes.
2. When the weather is cold, the water or
refrigerant heats up as it travels
through the part of the loop that’s
buried underground.
3. Once it gets back above ground, the
warmed water or refrigerant transfers

transferred to the ground around the
pipes.
