I. Objectives:
1. Students will be able to identify and name the different parts of a house, such as the living
room, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and hallway.
2. Students will be able to describe the function and location of each part of the house.
3. Students will be able to create a simple floor plan of a house.

1. Introduce the different parts of a house, such as the living room, kitchen, bathroom,
bedroom, and hallway.
2. Discuss the function and location of each part of the house.
3. Show a basic floor plan of a house and identify the different parts of the house on the
plan.
4. Give each student a blank floor plan template and ask them to create a simple floor plan
of a house.
5. Have the students share their floor plans with the class.

In pairs or small groups, have the students create a more detailed floor plan of a house,
including the placement of furniture and appliances.
