1. Give three reasons why the Kartilya ng Katipunan is important to the


grand narrative of Philippine History.

 It served as the ideological foundation of the Katipunan, providing a


moral and philosophical framework for the revolution against Spanish
colonial rule. It emphasized the values of nationalism, freedom, and
equality, which were crucial in uniting Filipinos in the fight for
independence.
 The Kartilya inspired and guided the members of the Katipunan in
their struggle for independence. It provided them with a sense of
purpose and direction, reminding them of the injustices of colonial
rule and the importance of fighting for their rights and freedom.
 The principles and ideals espoused in the Kartilya continue to
resonate in Philippine society today. It has become a symbol of
resistance and patriotism, inspiring generations of Filipinos to uphold
the values of freedom, justice, and equality.
