Day 1
Duration: 90 minutes
Activity 1
Materials Needed:
2. Markers
3. Sticky notes
4. Pens/pencils
5. Index cards
Activity Outline:
Begin the workshop with a fun icebreaker activity to create a positive and inclusive
atmosphere. You can use a simple activity like Two Truths and a Lie or a group
energizer like a quick round of Simon Says.
Divide students into small groups (3-5 students per group). Provide each group with
sticky notes and markers. Ask them to brainstorm ideas and suggestions for improving
specific aspects of the curriculum. Encourage them to think creatively and consider both
challenges and opportunities for improvement.
After the brainstorming session, reconvene as a larger group. Each group shares their
ideas by sticking their notes on the whiteboard or flip chart. Facilitate a discussion
around the proposed ideas, allowing students to ask questions, provide feedback, and
build upon each othr's suggestions.
Provide each student with index cards and ask them to individually prioritize the ideas
presented based on their perceived importance and feasibility. Collect the cards and
tally the results to identify the most popular suggestions.
Based on the prioritized ideas, guide students in creating actionable steps for
implementing the proposed improvements. Encourage them to consider who would be
responsible for each action item and establish a timeline for implementation.
Wrap up the workshop by thanking the students for their active participation and
emphasizing the importance of their role in driving positive change within the curriculum.
Encourage ongoing collaboration and communication between students and faculty/staff
for continuous improvement.
Instructions:
Present students with a hypothetical scenario where they are tasked with redesigning a
particular course or subject within the curriculum.
Divide students into teams and assign each team a different aspect of the curriculum to
focus on (e.g., assessment methods, learning materials, teaching methodologies).
Provide resources such as research articles, case studies, and examples of innovative
curricular approaches.
Give teams time to collaborate and come up with a detailed plan for how they would
improve their assigned aspect of the curriculum.
Have each team present their proposed curriculum makeover to the class, explaining
their rationale and expected outcomes.
Instructions:
Facilitate discussions during and after the workshops to encourage reflection and idea-
sharing.
Day 2
Objective:
By the end of the Tech Tool Showcase activity, participants will demonstrate a
comprehensive understanding of a designated technology tool, including its features,
benefits, and potential applications in the classroom. This objective aims to enhance
participants' technological literacy, foster collaborative research and presentation skills,
and empower them to critically evaluate and integrate innovative tools for effective
teaching and learning.
Activity 1. **Tech Tool Showcase**: Divide the class into small groups and assign
each group a different technology tool (e.g., interactive whiteboards, educational apps,
online collaboration platforms). Have each group research and explore their assigned
tool, then present its features, benefits, and potential classroom applications to the rest
of the class.

Day 3
Activity 1 : Safety Quiz Game: Create a quiz with questions related to electrical safety
procedures, regulations, and best practices. Participants can compete individually or in
teams to test their knowledge and reinforce safety principles.

Activity 3: Circuit Building Race: Divide participants into teams and provide them with
materials to build simple electrical circuits based on specific requirements or diagrams.
The first team to successfully construct and test their circuit wins. This game enhances
understanding of circuitry concepts and teamwork.
Day 4
Provide students with an opportunity to take an active role in their learning by assuming
the position of a teacher. Through the preparation and delivery of a short lesson on a
topic of their choice, students will develop essential skills such as public speaking,
lesson planning, and effective communication. Additionally, this activity aims to cultivate
empathy and understanding among students by offering insights into the challenges and
strategies teachers employ. Overall, the objective is to empower students with a sense
of ownership in their education while fostering mutual respect between students and
teachers.
Activity 1. **Role Reversal**: Divide the class into groups of students and teachers.
Let the students take on the role of the teacher and prepare a short lesson on a topic
they're passionate about. This activity not only empowers students to take charge of
their learning but also gives them insight into the challenges and strategies teachers
use to impart knowledge effectively.
Objective:
Activity 2. **Gallery Walk**: Set up stations around the classroom with different
teaching methods or tools (e.g., visual aids, interactive games, storytelling). Allow
students to rotate through each station, experiencing firsthand the diverse ways
teachers can convey information and engage learners.
Objective:
Immerse students in a dynamic learning experience where they assume the roles of
both teachers and students within a simulated classroom environment. By engaging in
scenarios that require them to convey information using various methods, such as
gestures or adapting to diverse learning styles, students will develop a deeper
understanding of the challenges and nuances involved in the teaching process. This
hands-on activity aims to foster empathy, enhance communication skills, and promote a
reflective awareness of the multifaceted aspects of effective teaching. Ultimately, the
objective is to empower students with insights that contribute to their appreciation of
teaching methodologies and the importance of adaptability in educational settings.
