Online classes. Because of
BIOLOG
those times, the virus which
Y
is Covid 2019 was already
spread. The Deped and
HISTOR
Ched were decided to use
Y
the online setup of classes to
EXTRAS
the student safe from
viruses.
NOTES
Prior to the pandemic, CTU utilized a
Face-to-face Learning like, which offers
opportunities for student-teacher
SCIENC
E
interaction that are difficult to replicate
at a distance type of learning. We learn
HISTORY
MATH
better when we are at school, because
there are no time limitations for class
discussions and we can ask our teachers
BIOLOG
directly when we have questions about
Y
our lessons. Other than that, we also
learn to socialize with others, which is
HISTOR
important to our emotional and mental
Y
aspects.
EXTRAS
NOTES
When Covid 19 hit the country, schools such
as CTU implemented new learning delivery
modality, and that is Fully Online Learning,
SCIENC
wherein there is synchronous and
E
asynchronous classes. From my point of
view, this type of learning is much better
HISTORY
MATH
compared to modular distance learning,
since teachers and students are still able to
BIOLOG
interact with each other using the Google
Y
Meet and Zoom. Even though some of us
were not initially digitally skilled, we forces
HISTOR
ourselves to learn how to use the different
Y
technologies, because of our drive to
continue our studies and eventually finish it
EXTRAS
despite the on-going pandemic.
Face-to-face learning is an
NOTES
educational approach in which a
group of students is taught class
SCIENC
content and learning material in
E
person. This enables a learner
MATH
and an instructor to interact in
real time.
BIOLOG
Y
Online learning is education that
occurs through the use of the
HISTOR
Internet. It is also known as "e-
Y
learning," among other things.
EXTRAS
NOTES
SCIENC
Having a face-to-face class in pre-
E
COVID-19 is a great opportunity to
interact with people to learn and
HISTORY
MATH
discover something. There are a lot of
upside-down memories to treasure and
the learning is at different levels. The
BIOLOG
students will show what they can do
Y
and explore themselves in different
fields.
HISTOR
Y
EXTRAS
NOTES
During COVID-19, we adopted a fully
online class. Online classes have a lot of
SCIENC
E
adjustments that students encounter. It's
a challenge for every student that they
HISTORY
MATH
need to face and find the bright side of.
We lost the social interaction, and a lot
of students were struggling with the
BIOLOG
internet connection and having a hard
Y
time adjusting, but a lot of students
continued studying, and together we
HISTOR
learned to adopt this kind of setup.
Y
EXTRAS
NOTES
Face to Face learning happens
when the teacher and the student
SCIENC
meet in a set place for a set time,
E
most commonly, in group class
lessons. Having these face to face
MATH
learning in the classroom it can
make us feel more comfortable
BIOLOG
Y
and learn more easily in a
familiar, traditional classroom
HISTOR
situation.
Y
EXTRAS
NOTES
When we say fully online, it
refers to when we take an online
SCIENC
class using a computer, laptop or
E
cellphone, without being with a
teacher or other students in a
MATH
classroom. By these, we can able
to study in the comfort of our
BIOLOG
Y
own home, or wherever we want.
Most especially it costs less such
HISTOR
us no need to travel for training,
Y
and no parking expenses.

CHALLENGES
NOTES
Fully Online type of learning has a lot
SCIENC
challenges and limitations, which for
E
my part includes limited time for
discussion, slow internet connection,
HISTORY
MATH
environment, and background noise. In
this type of learning, we learn to self-
study, as time for online discussion is
BIOLOG
limited, which is done by the school to
Y
save the students' load for other
subjects. The environment as well is
HISTOR
Y
different. When we are in the school,
we are more motivated to study
EXTRAS
belecause of the environment, which is
really for learning.
NOTES
OPPORTUNITIES
SCIENC
E
For my part, Fully Online type of
Learning cost less compared to Face-to-
HISTORY
MATH
face Learning, since I do not need to
rent. My parents only have to pay for
BIOLOG
my load. Other than that, I also have
Y
become knowledge on how to use
different applications, as having digital
HISTOR
skills is quite needed in this online
Y
mode of learning.

CHALLENGES
SCIENC
E
poor internet connection is one of
the issues we've experienced
MATH
especially during classes. Some
of us experienced difficulty
joining in the synchronous
BIOLOG
Y
sessions, particularly those who
reside in mountainous areas.
HISTOR
There were also instances that we
Y
couldn't have synchronous
EXTRAS
classes because it was raining.
OPPORTUNITIES
NOTES
It was a tough yet enjoyable experience.
We, the students, have given ourselves the
SCIENC
E
opportunity to explore more on our
gadgets. We were able to learn about
certain programs and websites that we had
MATH
not used during high
school.Factors:Doing hands-on activities -

OPPORTUNITIES
SCIENC
E
The opportunities are that you can have
HISTORY
your time to spend it alone and do
MATH
whatever you want, and also, it's so
convenient to study with just an open
BIOLOG
educational application on your phone,
Y
and then you can have it, and also, you
can help and spend more time with your
HISTOR
family, having interaction with each
Y
other at home.
EXTRAS
NOTES
CHALLENGES
SCIENC
The COVID-19 pandemic has
E
transformed many aspects of life,
especially higher education.
MATH
There are many colleges and also
students to move to virtual or
BIOLOG
online type of learning and it is a
Y
big adjustment for us. I can't
HISTOR
forget this one of the most
Y
common challenges that I
currently facing with online
EXTRAS
learning, this is the technical
NOTES
issues and it really bound to happen
in an online environment. Having
SCIENC
these technical issues, and internet
E
connection only add to the online
environment’s frustration and
MATH
interrupt new distance learning
sessions. Sometimes my computer
BIOLOG
will shut down, or there are moments
Y
when my wifi is spotty, and in fact,
weak monitors can make it
HISTOR
Y
challenging to keep up with my
virtual classmates and learning
EXTRAS
environment.
OPPORTUNITIES
NOTES
Despite of the challenges I have
SCIENC
encountered, online learning also
E
has its own set of opportunities
and positives impacts to a student
MATH
like me. To name a few, online
learning allows me to attend
BIOLOG
classes from any location of my
Y
choice. Thus, online learning
HISTOR
offers students the accessibility
Y
of time and place in education.
Moreover,
EXTRAS
online learning is far more
NOTES
affordable as compared to
physical learning. This is because
SCIENC
online learning eliminates the
E
cost points of student
transportation, student meals, and
MATH
most importantly, real estate.
Another advantage is that all the
BIOLOG
course or study materials are
Y
available online, thus creating a
paperless learning environment
HISTOR
Y
which is more affordable, while
also being beneficial to the
EXTRAS
environment.

EXTRAS

We must consider the areas of the
SCIENC
student because there are
E
students whose areas are away
from the high internet
MATH
connections. And also the status
of the student, we must know
BIOLOG
what was the student capable of
Y
and also his/her weaknesses and
HISTOR
strength.
Y
EXTRAS
NOTES
I think the top factor that CTU
considered when implementing
their chosen type of learning
SCIENC
E
delivery modality is the students'
demands. They listened and
HISTORY
MATH
understand the concerns of the
students. And now that Face-to-
BIOLOG
face Learning is allowed for areas
Y
under Alert Level 1, the school is
still on its decision to hold face-to-
HISTOR
Y
face classes, which is also basing
on the vaccine status of the
EXTRAS
students.
In an online class, students will
NOTES
not have the opportunity to
participate in and complete
interactive learning activities. For
SCIENC
E
example, in course physical
education, we were unable to
MATH
perform and conduct such
activities and exercises with our
BIOLOG

Y
Meeting students' demand-There
HISTOR
are several things that both
Y
teachers and students must do in
EXTRAS
order to adapt and even
adjust in this new educational
NOTES
system and set-ups. Students are
among the most impacted by this
SCIENC
new normal, which means that
E
the school and instructors must
assess and change in order to
MATH
satisfy the demands of each
student.

HISTOR
Y
EXTRAS
NOTES
Most of the colleges and
universities use online resources
SCIENC
to continue their educational
E
journey through software
applications such as Zoom,
MATH
Google Meet and Microsoft
Teams. Therefore, meeting
BIOLOG
students demand become a
Y
matter of concern when
implementing the learning
HISTOR
Y
modalities. A teacher who uses
the student-centered method of
EXTRAS
education, will need to place
NOTES
their student and their learning
needs at the center of everything.
SCIENC
To realized this, I will have to
E
adhere to three things: student
choice and voice, teaching as a
MATH
facilitator, and education
technology. Therefore, as a future
BIOLOG
educator I can conclude that
Y
being a teacher, we must also
make the change from being a
HISTOR

guardian of knowledge to
facilitating learning. If we give
