you will be able to identify the speaker in the story.

The speaker can be the character or the narrator of the story or poem.

Example:

E. Discussing new concepts and If the speaker used the words He, She, They, Them, then the speaker in the

The Narrator is the person who is telling the story you are reading.
The Narrator is not part of the story but act as an observer who explains
things. This help the readers like you understand the story better.

Example:
The one who is talking in the story is the Narrator.

____1. Kate finished her homework. She was so happy. Her mom gave her a
snack after. She can now play with her friends.
____ 2. To stay healthy, I brush my teeth three times a day after every meal. I
take a bath everyday and wash my hands to keep them clean especially before
eating.
____3. Leigh and I helped our mother start our garden. We used tall shovels to
dig the soil. When we stpoed to rest, we saw that the neighbors were beginning
their garden, too.

talk to them using squeaks and squawks. Sometimes i=I jump out of the water.

eggs. I collect tiny sticks, grass and soft things to make the nest comfortable. My
nest is in the tree so I must fly to get there.
