Class Objective- Getting coordination between your left and right hand .

Title : Left Hand Exercises.


Objective : Using your left hand more efficiently.

Concept A : Alternate picking .


I. When the string is plucked with downstroke and upstroke
simultaneously it is called alternate picking.

I. An indication of rhythm using fraction.


II. Example : 3/4 , 4/4 , 7/8 etc .

I. Play the below exercise with alternate picking .
II. For the left hand use your first two fingers.
III. Use your finger tip to firmly press the strings.
IV. Here there are four notes in one bar so the time signature is 4/4.

SELF-ASSESSMENT :

Good I was able to read the TABs and locate the correct note
immediately and play it with clarity without any buzz,

Fair I was able to read the TABs a bit slowly but recognised
the correct note and played it with clarity.

Bad I was not able to locate notes correctly and played it


with a lot of buzz .
