    Appendix B

    DESIGN PARAMETERS

    1. Location of structure : AOC Centre Secunderabad

    2. Type of Construction : RCC framed super structure and foundation


    including plinth beams, lintels, floor / roof beams,
    floor / roof slabs and staircase.

    3. Type of Concrete : RCC in M-25 Concrete

    4. Loads : As per IS 875-1987

    5. Seismic Zone : Zone II (As per IS 1983 (Part I)-2002. Ductility


    requirement as per IS-13920

    6. Wind load : As per IS-875 (Part 3) – 1987

    7. Type of Steel : Fe 500 D

    8. Exposure condition : Moderate

    9. Fire rating : 2 hours

    10. Superstructure : RCC framed structure

    11. Filler Walls : Fly ash / PCC block masonry walls

    12. Roof : RCC in M-25 Concrete

    13. SBC (Safe Bearing Capacity) : Soil report will be given by the Department.

    14. The column and locations shown in arch drawings are tentative only and can be changed
    as per structural requirement. However the layout plan will remain the same. Crumple joints /
    expansion joints shall be given as per structural design requirement in accordance with BIS
    codes.

    15. The consultant shall be liable to extend prompt assistance in clarifying any doubts on
    design / drawing and shall provide extra details or supplementary drawings, if required, at no
    extra cost to the department during tendering and execution of the work. Modifications if any
    required on account of the conditions / users requirements shall be attended to by the
    consultant during execution of the project without any extra cost.

    16. The scope of work besides the servicers / utilities mentioned under scope of work above
    shall deem to include any contingent work though not specifically mentioned but are found
    indispensable for full and final execution of the project as per technically sound engineering
    practice. No extra fee is payable on this account.

    17. Structural drawings and design once submitted will be the property of Chief Engineer
    Chennai Zone Chennai and the consultant will have no claim or rights thereafter on the same.
    This HQ reserves the right to adopt the drawings in any other Govt work in future.
