Subject: FAULT REPORT OF AIR CONDITIONERS INSTALLED AT MSU MULTAN

It is submitted that 04 x air conditioners having cooling capacity i.e. (3 x 7.5 installed and 01
x 10 Ton) at NTC MSU Multan are being used for the proper control of the temperature of the EWSD
switch Room & smooth working of the system. These air conditioners are being used around the clock
for the temperature control of the EWSD switch room.

2. A pair of air conditioners will be used with the start of the summer season for the proper
control of the temperature of the EWSD switch room as the most sensitive equipment i.e. EWSD MSU
complete, Banning Rectifier, Soft Switch with Rectifier, UMG/NGN, and DWDM, BRAS, MX104
Router and data equipment has been installed in the switch room.

3. At present 02 x air conditioners are faulty the log book of the air conditioners of MSU
Multan is attached. The air conditioner Technician was called to find out the cause and he has asked
that compressors of 02 x Air Conditioners (Having Capacity 7.5 Ton i.e Air conditioner no 01 & 02) have
been burnt. For the repair of 01 x air conditioner following is required: -
 Repairing of Compressor (Motor, Pistons)
 R-22 Gas 8 Kg
 Compressor Oil 4 Liter
 Dry Filter
 Gas Accumulator

4. The estimated cost (Reference quotation is attached) of the above-mentioned work is

Rs. 240,000/-. Therefore, keeping in view, the above-narrated facts, it is submitted that approval for the
Repair & maintenance of the subject air conditioners may kindly be accorded, please

Capacity : 2 x 7.5 Ton and 01 x 10 Ton

Present Status

04 x air conditioners having cooling capacity i.e (3 x 7.5 installed and 01 x 10 Ton) at NTC MSU Multan
are being used for the proper control of temperature of EWSD switch Room & smooth working of the
system. These air conditioners are being used round the clock for the temperature control of EWSD
switch room. It is pertinent to mention here that said Air conditioners units were installed on
01-06-2001, so the air conditioners have completed the useful life.

Routine Maintenance

The complete service of air conditioners is essentially required interest of NTC for the proper control
of temperature of EWSD switch room as the most sensitive equipment i.e EWSD MSU complete,
Baning Rectifier, Soft Switch with Rectifier, UMG/NGN, DWDM, BRAS, MX104 Router and data
equipment is also installed in switch room. The proper control of temperature is quite essential for the
smooth functioning above mentioned equipment as the summer season has to be started.
No technical difficulty is being anticipated during the execution of work

and Gas R-22 charging in Air Conditioners to maintain the
Gas Pressure.
4. PRICE : The total price is PKR 24,952/- (Pak Rupees Twenty-Four
Thousand Nine Hundred Fifty-Two Only)
5. DELIVERY SCHEDULE : The Contractor will be bound to complete the work within
01 x day from the date of issuance of work order.
6. LATE DELIVERY CHARGES LD charges @ 0.5% of the bill amount per week will be
imposed in case of delay in completion of work up to
maximum of 10% of value of delivered items.
7. MODE OF PAYMENT : a) 100 % payment of provided Services will be made to the
supplier after receipt of the bill in triplicate along with PST
invoice. The firm will mention NTN number of both
supplier and purchaser on the invoice. (NTC NTN
#1218153-6). Taxes shall be deducted as per Govt. policy in
vogue.
(b) Payment will be made by Regional Director NTC Multan
through crossed cheque.
8. ULTIMATE CONSIGNEE : The item will be delivered to the ultimate consignee at the
