SITUATIONER/RATIONALE:

Education is a necessity for it is the key to success. School supplies plays an important
role in the lives of every student, especially in today’s generation. It acts as a weapon
and a shield, allowing them to continue their education. In line with this, the project
“Gamit Eskwela” aims to assist the start of school year 2024-2025 by providing school
supplies to 90 SPED students, who will then be inspired to continue learning and
emphasized that education is the key to success.

CSWDO and PDAO office will provide school supplies and materials to SPED learners as
part of the advocacy to children with disability for them to continue their education. As
a result, the project “Gamit Eskwela” will be great assistance to SPED students in order
for them to lessen their expenses.

This project focuses on providing schools supplies to 90 PWD students of San Fernando
SPED Integrated School, City of San Fernando, LA Union who can receive schools
supplies from the City Government as their major need for education.

OBJECTIVES:

This project aims to assist the start of school by providing school supplies to 90 SPED
students by August 2024 who will then be inspired to continue learning and emphasized
the meaning of education as a key to success.

SUCCESS INDICATORS:

- School supplies provided to the identified 90 children with disability by August


2024.

The City Government of San Fernando provides funding of said project and will; be
facilitated by the Persons with Disability Affairs Office and the City Social Welfare and
Development Office.

PROJECT BENEFITS AND IMPACT:

Having school supplies is so important. Children have to be equipped with what they
need in order to have a better learning experience. Having school supplies of their
own can improved grades, creativity, attitudes towards learning, behavior and self-
image.

MONITORING AND EVALUATION PLAN:

Thru the guidelines, the CSWDO and PDAO will be in charge in distribution of school
supplies. Beneficiaries or their parents shall be required to sign that they have received
said school supply.

POST IMPLEMENTATION AND SUSTAINABILITY PLAN:

The PDAO section will continue to include this project in annual investment program
(AIP) yearly, and allocate appropriate source of funding.
